Attention:
Because of important information in our report for the WALCE conference (which unfortunately none of us at DAATCP can attend because of budget restrictions) , I wanted to make sure everyone has seen it. In particular, I want to call you attention to this entry:
DATCP has not received reassurances about additional lapses required for the 20ll, and as a result is recommending the following regarding the use of SEG cost-share funds for nutrient management plans: Counties should not sign cost-share contracts with landowners until after they have signed grant contract from DATCP, and if counties have already signed cost-share contracts with 2011 funds, they should inform landowners not to incur costs until the county has signed grant contract with DATCP. DATCP expects to sign grant contracts with the counties as early as April or as late as May. This recommendation does not apply to practices installed with bond funds.
Please contact me if you have questions.
